About Us

Just over 150 years ago in this great state of ours the country was torn and divided into two. The North wanted to keep the country together whereas the South wanted to remove herself from the bonds in which the North had her shackled.

War broke out and soon males from the ages of 15 on upwards as long as they could hold a rifle in their hands signed up to join the Confederate Army and Navy to free their lands from the invaders of the North.

Many fought and died in the battles that dotted the country in the years betweet 1861-1865. Many died soon after and some in their golden twilight years.

As long as we, their descendants live and carry their memories of the actions, lives and deeds they will never perish.

As long as we, their descendants hold up that glorious battle flag up high and continue to help educate and spread the spirit of Dixie those honourable men would not have died in vain.

Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans

“To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we will commit the vindication of the cause for which we fought. To your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier’s good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles which he loved and which you love also, and those ideals which made him glorious and which you also cherish.”

Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee, Commander General,
United Confederate Veterans,
New Orleans, Louisiana, April 25, 1906.
